Decision guide · Cloud and ERP
What VPS do I need to host an ERP?
The answer depends on concurrent users, database engine, document volume, integrations and backup window. For a responsible quote, ZGH sizes those inputs and then proposes ExpressCloud resources with IPv4/IPv6 connectivity, platform monitoring and backup alternatives. ERP, operating system and database administration, licensing and migration must be explicitly defined in scope.
Use cases
When this alternative makes sense
Small and mid-sized ERP workloads
Administrative applications with gradual growth that may need CPU, RAM or storage changes without acquiring a full server.
Separated environments
Production, testing or integration environments that require independent isolation and control.
Chile-based connectivity
Operations that value local infrastructure, IPv4/IPv6 access and ZGH technical support.
Decision criteria
The five inputs that define the right size
A useful recommendation needs application and operational data. Provide at least these inputs when requesting a quote.
-
Users and concurrency
Total users, simultaneous users and peak workload periods.
-
Database engine and size
SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL or another engine; current size, monthly growth and expected IOPS.
-
Operating system and licenses
Linux or Windows, supported versions and who provides or manages each license.
-
RPO and RTO
How much data can be lost and how long the ERP may remain unavailable after an incident.
-
Integrations and access
Branches, VPN, APIs, email, e-invoicing, remote users and security restrictions.
Explicit scope
Scope that must be written down
ExpressCloud baseline
- KVM virtualization with plan-defined resources
- IPv4 and a /64 IPv6 prefix
- Virtualizor panel and NoVNC console
- Basic Anti-DDoS included
- 24/7 ZGH platform monitoring
- Backuply backups available as an add-on
Confirm in the proposal
- Operating system administration and patching
- ERP and database administration
- Windows, SQL Server and third-party licensing
- Migration, testing and cutover window
- Backup frequency, retention, destination and restoration
- Agreed SLA, RPO, RTO and continuity plan

FAQ
Questions before quoting an ERP VPS
Does a VPS include ERP administration?
Not automatically. Infrastructure and application administration are separate scopes. Managed operation must be explicitly included in the proposal.
Are backups included?
ExpressCloud offers optional Backuply integration. Frequency, retention, location and restoration tests must be agreed according to the recovery objective.
Can I use Windows and SQL Server?
The platform supports Windows templates, but version, compatibility and licensing must be validated before purchase.
Next step
Let us size the ERP from real inputs
Share concurrent users, database, operating system, current storage, growth and recovery objective. We can then recommend a technical baseline and clearly separate included and optional work.
